Who we are

The Good Friend Collective was founded by Denise Schamens, a lifelong advocate and ally for the neurodivergent communities, creative educator, and parent of three neurodivergent young adults.

With over two decades of experience building inclusive programming and award-winning documentaries, Denise has empowered more than 70,000 people through her work.

Her new venture, The Good Friend Collective, carries this mission forward into workplaces, classrooms and communities-combining heart, connection, storytelling, and practical tools.

The Good Friend Collective will bring Neurodiversity at Work training to employers seeking inclusive hiring practices and workplace culture.

In addition, the Collective will launch community-centered offerings, including instructor-led art classes, corporate team building art projects and a welcoming gathering space with coffee and tea in the near future — continuing to build connection, creativity, and compassion.

Denise loves collaboration and connections. Please reach out if you have any ideas on building an inclusive workplace and furthering this powerful initiative!
